GitBot takes a job you normally repeat in Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode and turns it into a reusable bot. You write the instructions once, define what it can touch, and run it in any repository. Every run becomes a thread you can come back to later. You can install bots other developers have shared through the Library, or share your own with a simple code. For example, ShipGuard reads your branch and tells you merge or block, with file and line evidence to back it up. It runs on your machine using the logins you already have, and it's open source with no account and no telemetry.
